SLG invests in skills and education to promote trade, boost innovation and grow our businesses. We work closely with UK Regional Authorities and Universities on Knowledge Transfer Partnership projects, to improve our competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills 

We have built a strong organization that supports all facets of R&D, by working closely with headquarters, we focus on making continuous investments in key technologies, architectures, Construction & Engineering, Metal & Waste Management and Mining fields. We also have a Strategic Partnership arm dedicated to fostering closer collaborations with the local regional developing agencies.

To gain a distinct competitive edge in the future, we have set up three Laboratories in the UK, which functions as the innovation, research, and platform technology development arm of the company. We work closely with partners from the industry, academia, and research institutes. Our goal is to collaborate on strategic technologies for the future and original technologies designed to forge new market trends and set new standards for excellence
